A Joliet man allegedly cursed and raised his hands as if he was going to choke his neighbor during an argument over the garbage.

An argument over garbage issues between neighbors on Joliet's west side ended with one cursing the other and raising his hands as if he was going to choke her, police said.

Adam Kolodziej, 35, of 3219 Cathy Drive was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with the incident outside his house shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Kolodziej and a neighbor were working out there "garbage problems" when he apparently became angry, police said. Kolodziej allegedly exhibited this anger by calling the neighbor lady a pair of filthy names before he "lifted his hands as if to choke her," police said.

A third neighbor from the Cathy Drive area intervened and got between Kolodziej and the woman, police said.

When the law showed up, Kolodziej admitted to calling the woman names but denied making a move to choke her, police said.
