Helping hand
Cops called to help out a motorist ended up arresting the man on a drunken driving charge, police said.
Rogelio Amaro, 26, of 1007 Gael Drive in Joliet was taken into custody about 4:30 a.m. on Clark Drive.

Officers were sent over to Clark to check out a vehicle in need of assistance, . But when they got there they arrested Amaro.
Amaro was released after posting bond.

Domestic battery charge
A local man was arrested on a domestic battery charge in connection with an incident at his home.
Joseph Petroski, 44, 106 E. Jefferson St. in was taken into custody about 12:30 a.m. and transported to the Will County jail.
