Husband Harassed by Homeless Woman, Says Cops

A homeless woman's telephone call to her estranged husband landed her in jail, police said.

A homeless woman violated a court order by making a telephone call to her estranged husband, said.

Katrina Dismuke-Cureton, 40, was arrested and jailed shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Farmstead Lane and Richards Drive, only yards away from the home of her husband, Leonard Cureton, according to reports.

A court order obtained by Cureton in December forbade Dismuke-Cureton from coming within 1,000 feet of the house where he and his sons reside.

In the order, Cureton claimed Dismuke-Cureton attempted to run him over with her car. Cureton also accused his wife of taking his sons—of whom he has custody—and keeping them away from him for four months.

In the petition for an order of protection filed by Cureton, Dismuke-Cureton's address is listed as the same 900 Richards Drive home as her estranged husband, but Will County jail records say she is now homeless.

Cureton filed for a divorce against Dismuke-Cureton in August. The matter remains unresolved.

The day after she was locked up, Cureton secured her release by posting a $100 bond, according to jail records.
