Child Porn Case in Court

The Shorewood man jailed on child pornography charges made another appearance in federal court.

The IT guy jailed since August on child pornography charges appeared in federal court Friday.

Christopher Kice, 42, has been held at Chicago's Metropolitan Correctional since federal agents and officers snatched him up from his Callaway Drive home nearly eight months ago.

And Kice's journey through the federal court system appears to be far from over, as he was scheduled for another status date on May 15.

Kice was arrested after his employer, a Chicago-area law firm, tipped the feds to his possibly possessing child pornography.

Kice worked in the law firm's information technology department.

A forensic investigation of Kice's computer equipment turned up pornographic images of young girls, . Some of the photographs were taken in Kice's home, according to the affidavit, and show the girls being fondled by the hand of an off-camera adult.

Kice faces charges of possession of child pornography and the sexual exploitation of a child. He is looking at doing up to 30 years in prison.
