Pinned by pickup

A man was pinned under his own pickup truck when vehicle rolled on top of him after he fell while getting out of the cab.

Before he was trapped under the pickup, the unidentified 64-year-old man was parked in the lot of the CVS at the corner of Jefferson and River roads about 5 a.m., said Police Chief Robert Puleo.

The man stumbled getting out of the cab and fell to the ground, Puleo said, and the pickup, which he left in gear, rolled onto his shoulder.

A passerby rushed over and backed the pickup off the man, who suffered a shoulder injury, Puleo said.

Not much more information was available as the police did not make a report on the incident. Puleo said no report was made because the accident happened on private property.
