No Students Hurt in Minooka School Bus Crash

The bus wound up in a ditch following a crash Wednesday morning in Minooka.

No students were on a school bus from Minooka Community Consolidated School District 201 when it was hit by another vehicle and flipped Wednesday morning.

Police said no students when the crash happened at about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Morris Daily Herald. Minooka police chief Justin Meyer told the paper that a vehicle was turning east on Minooka Road from International Parkway South when it hit another vehicle traveling east on Minooka Road.

The second vehicle reportedly spun out and hit the westbound school bus head on, sending the bus into a ditch, where it came to rest on its side. The bus driver reportedly suffered a wrist injury in the crash.
