Kathy Hoffmeyer, a spokeswoman for the sheriff's department, said Green was picked up on an arrest warrant.

Hoffmeyer said Green has active criminal cases in connection with at least four separate incidents dating back to 2009 and involving the Joliet police, the New Lenox police and the Shorewood police.

Green's run-inwith the Shorewood police July 10 ended with his arrest on charges of  possession of a controlled substance, driving on a revoked or suspended license, fleeing or attempting to elude police, and speeding.

Hoffmeyer said she did not know which of the cases was connected to the warrant that landed Green in jail Monday.

In any event, he did not stay locked up long, as he posted a $500 cash bond and was released the same day he was taken into custody.

Green, whose occupation is listed as "paintball ref" in jail records, is scheduled to appear in court for an Aug. 8 pretrial hearing.
