Police Blotter: Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Controlled Substance

Sean K. Hocker, 24, Joliet, was arrested by Shorewood police on a Will County warrant for no seat belt after a random license plate check revealed the warrant on May 23, 2013. Hocker  posted bond and was released with court information.
Randy A. Hatton, 25, Shorewood, was arrested by Shorewood police for aggravated assault after a traffic altercation on May 24, 2013. Hatton posted bond and was released with court information.
Adam J. Birtas, 23, Joliet, was arrested by Shorewood police for possession of a controlled substance during a business check when officers observed Birtas with drug paraphernalia. Birtas was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
Katlin L. Benedict, 23, Wilmington, was arrested by Shorewood police for theft (under $500) after officers were called to the scene by Target Loss Prevention for employee theft at 1111 Brookforest on May 21, 2013. Benedict posted bond and was released with court information.
