Police Blotter: DUI, Retail Theft Arrests

Arrests made by Shorewood police and other law enforcement agencies.

Daron A. Washington, 39, Chicago, was arrested by Shorewood police for DUI and issued citations for illegal transportation of alcohol and illegal stopping/parking in the roadway after officers observed the vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway on April 2, 2013. Washington posted pond and was released with court information.

Miguel Cruz, 19, Joliet, was arrested by Shorewood police for DWLS and ticketed for no seatbelt and, after his vehicle was stopped, for the seatbelt violation on April 8, 2013. Cruz posted bond and was released with court information.

David J. Campfield, 26, Shorewood, and Johnathan A. Carter, 23, Joliet, were arrested for retail theft by Shorewood police after officers observed them running from the scene with alcohol in their hands on April 9, 2013. Campfield and Carter posted bond and were released with court information.

Shaun Barry, 20, Shorewood, was arrested by Shorewood police for interferring with reporting of domestic violence after officers responded to a disconnected 9-1-1 call on April 12, 2013. Barry posted pond and was released with court information.

Andrew Benson, 24, Crest Hill, was arrested by Shorewood police for DUI and ticketed for improper lane usage after officers observed the improper lane violation on April 13, 2013. Benson posted bond and was released with court information.

Christopher Young, 31, Carol Stream, was arrested by Shorewood police on a DuPage County warrant for assault after officers responded to a disturbance call on April 12, 2013. Young was unable to post bond and was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
