Manuel E. Alvarez, 21, 513 156th Place, Calumet City, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and resisting/obstructing a peace officer at 3:46 a.m. Jan. 27 at Southwest Frontage and Seil roads, Shorewood police said. Reports state Alvarez was also ticketed for improper lane usage and no valid driver's licence after officers responded to an accident. Alvarez was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
