Police Blotter: Shorewood Police Warrant, Battery and Traffic Arrests

Sept. 12

John D. McDonough, 54, of Montgomery, was arrested in the 300 block of Jefferson on a Lake County warrant for driving while license revoked after police responded to a report of a woman riding around in the back of a truck, police said. McDonough was taken to Will County Jail.

Joseph M. Fischer, 33, of Joliet, was arrested in the 4400 block of Timber Ridge Court on a Kendall County warrant for driving while license revoked, police reported. Fischer turned himself in.

Sept. 7

Ricardo Moreno, 39, of Shorewood was arrested in the 100 block of Jefferson on charges of aggravated battery and resisting/obstructing a peace officer, police reported. Moreno was taken to Will County Jail.

with this massive crime wave hitting S-wood I can see why we-the taxpayer-need to cough up another $110K a year to hire another cop.

I don't know how they do it man....all that crime in a MONTH would be hell on any cop! Everyone pray for their safety...you know they need it...

@I Steve-the PTSD in SPD must be sky-high- maybe they need a full-time psychiatrist on the payroll. I mean-how do you sleep at night without terrifying nightmares after arresting someone for a riding-in-the-bed-of-a-pickup-truck violation?

That is what I am saying! I just couldn't handle all the stress. You know what the psychiatrist told them...? Be vigilant, stay positive and get out there and keep writing those tickets and running plates.

And on a brighter note, they finally put the steel roofing on the gazebo at the park that Shorewood is renovating....And in a couple of more months the splash station will be open for all to enjoy......

lol right...going on 3 weeks past schedule. Wonder how much over budget they are?
