Taking care of business at 7-Eleven

A Plainfield man was jailed for allegedly stealing food from the Cottage Street 7-Eleven.

Michael Jakab, 27, of 2204 Willow Lakes Drive was arrested about 2 a.m. and hauled down to the county jail on a charge of retail theft.

The police said Jakab stole "miscellaneous food items."

It was not known if Jakab planned to consume the allegedly stolen property to fuel some sort of food addiction.
