Repeated Driving Tickets, Arrests Lead to Jail for Man Nabbed in Channahon in 2012

A Joliet man whose chronic driving infractions resulted in more than 20 arrests or tickets since 2006 began a 30-day Will County jail term last week, records show.

Andrew E. Piry, of 3726 Harms Road, pleaded guilty Aug. 6 to Naperville charges from July 2012 of aggravated driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license. He was sentenced to jail and two years' probation by Will County Judge Amy Bertani-Tomczak, a story in the Naperville Sun said

He was also sentenced to two years' court supervision and fined $500 for being convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating compounds, for which he was arrested in May 2012 in Channahon, the story said.

Piry's arrest record shows more than a dozen previous arrests or tickets since receiving his driver's license in 2006. Charges include failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving without insurance, making an improper turn and speeding, the story said
