The Shorewood cops enacted even more traffic stops and caught a guy rolling a tire down the road.

Lit up with light out, allegedly

A local woman rolling around with one headlight was pulled over and charged with driving under the influence.

Buena Silva, 52, of 404 Glen Mor Drive was stopped about 10 p.m. near the corner of Glen Mor and Turnbridge drives and arrested. On top of the driving under the influence charge, Silva was hit with driving without a headlight and improper lane usage.

Domestic incident

A local woman was arrested at her home and charged with domestic battery.

Kathleen Corcoran, 44, of 504 Shorewood Drive was taken into custody shortly after 7:30 p.m. and transported to the county jail.

The police revealed no details about who Corcoran allegedly battered or how she carried out the supposed crime.

Tripped up in traffic stop

A Joliet woman driving around without a rear registration light was caught with a suspended license, police said.

The law caught up with Porsha Jackson, 23, of 7007 Cottie Drive about 11:30 p.m. near the corner of Raven Road and Country Drive.

On top of the rear registration and suspended license charges, the cops tacked on a couple warrants — one out of Sangamon County and the other from Will County — charging Jackson with driving while license revoked or suspended.

Cops find Downers Grove man tiring

The police arrested a Downers Grove man after allegedly spotting him rolling a spare tire away from a frontage road car dealership.

Daniel Alexander, 19, of 537 Chicago Ave. was charged with theft from a motor vehicle, resisting arrest and criminal trespass to land.

The law reportedly noticed Alexander pushing a tire away from Tyson Motors at 1 S.W. Frontage Road shortly before 11:30 p.m.

Cops: Man ran from red light (he ran his car into)

A local man ran his car into a traffic light and fled the scene of the crash, but could not elude the long arm of the Shorewood law for long, police said.

Robert Bragg, 39, of 802 Lancer Court was apprehended and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, and improper lane usage.

Bragg reportedly rammed the traffic light at the intersection of Route 52 and Interstate 55 shortly before 11 p.m.

The police did not reveal where they eventually managed to find Bragg.
