Shorewood Kiddie Porn Case Continued

A federal case against a Shorewood man charged with possessing child pornography was postponed.

The IT guy charged with hoarding a stash of child pornography had his case put off until February.

Christopher Kice, 41, of 1110 Callaway Drive W. was scheduled for a pretrial hearing in federal court Tuesday morning but the appearance was pushed back.

Kice remains in custody at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago. He faces a single count of possession of child pornography.

The charge stems from a St. Patrick's Day raid on Kice's home. Federal agents went into the house and searched it. The agents reportedly seized computers and other electronic equipment from the residence.

A forensic investigation of the confiscated material yielded numerous illicit computer files bearing such names as "Church Girls Gone Wild," "underage illegal preteen daughter," "pedofil," "lolitaguy," and others too filthy to print, according to an affidavit sworn to by a federal agent.

FBI agents and officers went to Callaway Drive and arrested Kice in August. He was taken to the Will County jail and transported to the MCC in Chicago the next day.

Kice faces up to 10 years in federal prison if he is convicted on the possession of child pornography charge.
