Shorewood Man Facing Felony Charges

Argument with girlfriend leads to altercation and arrest of Shorewood's Kenneth Shane Benson.

Kenneth Shane Benson, 38, of 22360 S. Knyghtwood, Shorewood, was arrested by Will County Sheriff's Police early Thursday morning and charged with two felony counts, police spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said.

Hoffmeyer said Benson was arrested after an argument with his girlfriend escalated and he allegedly became physical with his father. She said he was taken into custody and was being held in jail pending a bond hearing.

Benson was charged with aggravated domestic battery and criminal damage to property, both felonies, Hoffmeyer said. She said a long list of prior bookings led to the aggravated battery charge against Benson.
