Fast times

A speedy Joliet man was not fast enough to out-run the Shorewood cops, who not only caught up with him, but also arrested and carted him off to jail, police said.

Marino Alvarado, 22, of 321 S. Ottawa St. was taken into custody shortly before 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of Route 59 and Route 52.

Alvarado was charged with aggravated fleeing or eluding, reckless driving, and speeding.

Service station scrapper?

The cops cuffed a Joliet man who was fighting at a gas station, police said.

David Rico, 34, of 2006 Mayfield Ave. was arrested about 8:30 p.m. at the 4303 W. Jefferson St. Mobil station.

Rico was charged with battery.
