Storm Blows Roof Off Jefferson Street Hotel

Sunday night's severe storm blew a large section of the roof off at the Best Budget Inn, 4200 W. Jefferson St. in Joliet.

Joliet police told WJOL that one person was injured — although not seriously — by flying debris at the hotel, located near Jefferson Street/Route 52 and I-55.

An employee who answered the phone at the hotel Monday morning said the business is closed for repairs following the storm. He said the hotel could reopen in about a week.
