Suspended License? Skip Shorewood! Police Blotter

It may not be as exciting as the man last week who admitted to stealing toothbrushes. But this week, police proved routine traffic stops catch all sorts of trouble.

Shorewood Police arrested Jose Zavala, 52, on a warrant served in his home, 25309 W. Balmoral Drive. He allegedly failed to appear on traffic violations. Police obliged by escorting him to county jail. He was later discharged on $1,000 bond.

A Plainfield man drove through Shorewood when he was wanted by Will County for alleged traffic offenses. John Kocik, 48, of 1903 Arbor Gate Drive, was nabbed when Shorewood police conducted a random check of his license plate. Kocik posted bond and was released.

An Oregon man was pulled over on the N.E. Frontage Road for a cracked windshield. Turns out, Sean Campbell, 32, of 11000 Mt. Ashland Ski Road in Ashland, Ore., was allegedly driving with a suspended license. In addition to arresting him, police added a ticket for the defective windshield. Campbell was released on bond.

A second man was arrested July 1 for allegedly driving with a suspended license. Mack Wagner, 49, with a post office box address in Joliet, was pulled over on Jefferson Street near the airport, after a random license plate check, police said. He was arrested and released on bond.

Take Three

 

Yet another out-of-towner was arrested for allegedly driving with a suspended license. Syed Mohiuddin, 7419 Woodward in Woodridge, was stopped for speeding, police said. Police also said he was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested, issued a speeding ticket, and released on bond.
