Traffic Stop Extravaganza Shorewood Police Blotter

A couple people got pulled over.

Sept. 25

A Romeoville man was jailed on a drug charge following a traffic stop.

Danilyus Day, 25,  of 619 Mendota Lane was carted off on a charge of manufacture and delivery of cannabis after he was pulled over about 10:50 p.m. near the intersection of Black Road and the Interstate 55 frontage road.

Day was also cited for allegedly driving with one taillight and no insurance.

The bad taillight was what got Day pulled over in the first place, police said.

Sept. 19

A Shorewood man's number came up when a cop randomly ran his license plate and discovered he was driving with a suspended registration, police said.

Darrin Tate, 46, of 213 Glen Mor Drive was picked up during a 10:35 p.m. traffic stop near the intersection of Route 52 and River Road.

Tate was charged with driving while license suspended and driving on a suspended registration. Tate also had a Will County warrant charging him with traffic violations, police said.

Tate was released from custody after posting bond.
