(Un) Wanted Shorewood Police Blotter

There was a wanted man, and a wanted woman too, along with some guy who was allegedly speeding without a license in Shorewood. At least they were wanted some place. Nobody said they wanted them around here.

Too allegedly fast for Shorewood

A Rockdale man stopped for speeding turned out to have no valid driver's license said.

Alberto Reyes-Martinez, 26, of 1700 Belleview Ave. was pulled over shortly before 4 p.m. in the 800 block of Brook Forest Avenue.

Reyes-Martinez posted bond and was released.

The old "random license plate check" gets 'em again

A wanted Joliet woman was snared by the sharp-eyed — and apparently lucky — Shorewood cops after they randomly ran her license plate number and pulled her over, police said.

Francis Ashley, 19, of 917 Plantain Drive was pulled over shortly before 10 a.m. near the intersection on Route 52 and Airport Road.

Francis was wanted on a Will County warrant charging her with assault, police said.

Francis posted bond and was released.

Sept. 26

Surrender

A wanted Joliet man turned himself in to the authorities and was placed under arrest.

Turmand Durden, 33, of 6917 Grantham Drive was taken into custody at the police station about 11:15 p.m.

Durden was wanted on a DuPage County warrant charging him with contempt of court.

Durden posted bond and was released.
