Undercover Cops Take Down Shorewood Man on Heroin Charges

A local man is in jail on a $400,000 bond after a multi-jurisdictional narcotics took him into custody Wednesday.

A local man was jailed on heroin charges following his arrest by a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force Wednesday.

Michael Ward, 31, of 705 Franklin Lane faces charges of manufacture or delivery of heroin and possession of a controlled substance.

Ward is being held at the Will County jail. His bond was set at $400,000 during a Thursday afternoon hearing.

Agents with the Will County Cooperative Police Assistance Team took Ward into custody on Wednesday.

Will County CPAT is comprised of officers from different police departments and operates out of the District 5 state police headquarters in Crest Hill.

CPAT agents could not be reached for comment on the circumstances surrounding Ward's arrest.
