A cop randomly running license plates came up on a lucky one when it turned out to be registered to a wanted man, said.
Michael Roland, 40, of 14929 Wabash Ave. in Dolton was taken into custody during an 8:15 p.m. traffic stop near the intersection of Route 59 and Goodhue Lane.

Roland was wanted on a DuPage County warrant charging him with contempt of court, police said.
Roland was released after posting bond.

Checking in
A local man stopped in at the police station so he could be arrested on a traffic warrant, police said.
Roger Phillips, 32, of 1000 Madiera Drive turned himself in and was arrested about 4:15 p.m.
Phillips was released after posting bond.
