And Down the Stretch They Come — In Shorewood!

The first results are coming in for Election 2011!

The first precinct has returned its votes and the four candidates going for three seats on the county board are in a virtual four-way tie.

A mere 16 votes separate last place candidate Leroy Stahr from early front runner Celine Schwartz, who has 83 of the first 302 ballots cast.

Meanwhile, Kristin Ethridge has a two-vote lead over Terry McFadden for first place in the Troy school district race, with 36 votes to his 34. Three of six candidates will win seats on the board in that election.

Over in the Troy Township Fire Protection District board race, the five candidates running as a bloc for the five open seats in that first-ever election are leading, but lone candidate Bob Robinson is only 17 votes off the fifth place pace set by John Theobald.
