Life in the Slow Lane

Shorewood Trustee Dan Gron calls for increased speed limit on newly improved Route 59.

With the reconstruction of Route 59 completed in Shorewood, village Trustee Dan Gron wants officials to consider upping the speed limit.

Not only that, but Gron wants the various speed limits throughout the village to be reassessed and made more consistent.

Gron pointed out that the speed limits in Shorewood are "35 here, 45 there, 40 there," and that he would like officials to take a "scientific approach" to bringing them in line with each other.
