Shorewood Crossroads Festival Hits the Prime Time

The Shorewood Crossroads Festival took off like a rocket Friday night and only promises to be even more fun today.

Here's what's on tap out at Four Seasons Park:

8 a.m.: Newsome 5K race

9 a.m.: Beautiful Baby contest (which my baby definitely would have won if we lived in Shorewood)

10:30 a.m.: Miss Shorewood crowned

10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Kiwanis Kids' Corner open

Noon to 11 p.m.: Carnival!

Noon to 2 p.m.: Live remote with Star 96.7

Noon to 5:30 p.m.: Kiwanis Dunk Tank (Starring Joe Hosey)

Noon: Allstate Bags Tournament

Noon to midnight: Eat Street (That's right, Eat Street!)

Noon to 1 a.m.: Beer tent

1 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Wrist band hours at carnival

2:30 p.m.: Babe's Jumbo Hot Dogs Eating Contest

3:30 p.m.: Faber Dental Arts Pie Eating Contest

5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: Friday At Five band

9 p.m.: Fireworks

9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.: ARRA band
