Taxing Shorewood Rewind

You don't see our Mayor pleading guilty to anything.

The staff responsible for producing the Shorewood Rewind each week is not above stating the obvious.

is obviously superior to everywhere else, and they state this again and again. It's hard for them not to. They are very enthused.

And we're not about to temper that enthusiasm. Why should we? Shorewood is amazing, and better than everywhere else, and they're just reminding us of this. Don't shoot the messenger.

Sometimes they don't even have to remind us of how much better Shorewood is than other places, such as Minooka or Channahon. We see it all the time in the news. Like just the other day, when the mayor of Channahon was in federal court pleading guilty to not paying his taxes.

You know what our mayor was doing that day? No? Well, we don't either. But we're pretty sure he wasn't up in Chicago copping a plea on an income tax case. Because that's how it is in Shorewood. The taxes get paid, and things are generally marvelous.
