Village Budget Includes Two New Hires for 2013-14

Big ticket items in Shorewood's budget for 2013-14 include two new hires, road resurfacing work and construction of a new water tower.

In a $26 million budget recently approved by the Shorewood village board, there are several big ticket items, according to a Sun-Times News Group report.

The village is making plans to spend $1.2 million in 2013-14 for road resurfacing, financing the construction of a water tower and creating two jobs, according to the report.

The village will be looking to add one position in public works and to add one patrolman to the Shorewood Police staff. Both positions were eliminated on a temporary basis during the recession, according to the Sun-Times News Group report.
