English Language Learners in P-12 Schools

Lewis University College of Education is offering Continuing Professional Development Credit with Summer Seminars for teachers and administrators. Five seminars are being presented in June at various locations. Each seminar is $40 per person and meets from 8 a.m. to noon. Pre-registration is required. “English Language Learners in P-12 Schools”-- June 21--Shorewood Campus

This workshop for P-12 educators and administrators will focus on the special needs of English Language Learners in our schools. The development of first and second language and the critical link between language and culture will be presented. Participants will also examine strategies for effective instruction and assessment of ELLs and suggestions for strengthening school and family partnerships. Dr. Barb Mackey will present.
