JJC Offers Mental Health First Aid Class (LLC 4388)
Mental Health First Aid is the help offered to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental healthcrisis. The first aid is given until appropriate treatment and support are received or until the crisis resolves. This 12-hour, highly interactive course teaches what initial help to give a person showing symptoms of depression, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Successful completion of all 12 hours is required to receive a course completion certificate through the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare. The following CEUs are available by request: IAODAPCA, LCSW, LMFT, LCPC, CPDU and nursing (with notice of interest).
