Holy Family Fourth-Graders Visit to NBC Channel 5 Studios a Memorable Experience

The class traveled to Chicago's NBC Channel 5 Studios where school dad and Holy Family alum Brian Bertino works as the technical director for the morning news.

Although career day at Holy Family Catholic School in Shorewood isn’t scheduled until April 16, the fourth grade class already enjoyed a unique opportunity to learn about the career of school dad and Holy Family alum, Brian Bertino, on a recent visit to his workplace.

The class traveled to Chicago’s NBC Channel 5 Studios where Betino works as the technical director for the morning news.

While split into small groups, the students rotated between the control room, the weather office, and the Channel 5 news studio.

The students particularly enjoyed viewing themselves on TV as a result of individual opportunities to experience the ‘green screen.’
