The Mark Staehely toy drive provides pediatric hospital patients with new toys during Christmas.

Editor's note: The following is a press release from Holy Family Catholic School.

Holy Family Catholic School students participated in Mark Staehely's 12th annual Christmas Toy Drive in December.

Sue Staehely, Mark's Mom, and Roger Damyen visited the school Dec. 3 and spoke to the children about Mark's battle with cancer, and the toy drive that he began before he died. They explained that Mark began collecting toys for children in the hospital while he was ill.

The Mark Staehely toy drive provides pediatric hospital patients with new toys during Christmas. The students asked Sue and Roger questoins, and listened intently to learn how they could help. The response was amazing! The toys that the students dropped off for the drive created a small mountain in Mrs. Crisci's office until they were donated.

This was a great opportunity for the children of Holy Family to demonstrate their willingness to think of others during this Christmas season.
