Statement:

I am running for a seat on the 30-C School Board. I feel I have many qualities/experiences that will make me a good and contributing board member.

First of all, I have in the past and I will in the future be an advocate for kids and our taxpayers. In my previous Troy Board tenure ( 1978-2009) , I could always be counted on to speak up for what is right and not always what is easier and more popular.

As a former teacher of 35 years, I know what is is like in the classroom " trenches," and I will do everything that I can to help our teachers help/educate our students. We need to always remember that quality teachers produce quality learning that all our students need for the 21st century. With our dwindling financial resources, I will be an advocate for getting the most money to where it is needed most: IN OUR CLASSROOMS helping students prepare for their futures.

Finally, the people of Troy let me be one of their voices on this school board for over 30 years. I am humbly grateful for their past confidence and faith in me, and I will, again, work extremely hard to maintain their trust and faith. I want to, again, represent the taxpayers of Troy and to, again, be an advocate for children.
