Troy School District Hires New Superintendent

Todd Koehl will replace Don White, who took a job in Hinsdale last month.

A Southern Illinois school administrator will take the reins in Troy School District 30C.

The school board on Wednesday approved the hiring of O’Fallon School District 90 Superintendent Todd Koehl to replace outgoing Superintendent Don White, who announced his resignation last month.

Koehl's current district consists of five elementary schools and two junior highs.

The Troy board inked a three-year contract with Koehl, who will receive a $172,000 salary, according to the Bugle newspaper.

Koehl, who has been superintendent in O'Fallon for four years, was reportedly one of three finalists considered for the superintendent job in McLean County Unit 5 schools earlier this year.

He's slated to begin his role in Troy School District on July 14.

Meanwhile, White started a new job as superintendent of Hinsdale Community Consolidated School District 181 on May 27.
