Troy Superintendent Will Resign at End of School Year

Don White has accepted a position in another district but said he will continue to live in Shorewood.

The Troy Consolidated School District 30C School Board held a special meeting Wednesday night to accept the resignation of Superintendent Don White.

In an article published by the Bugle, White confirmed his resignation and said he's accepted a job at an undisclosed district in northern Illinois, but said he and his family will continue to live in Shorewood.

“Troy has been a wonderful professional opportunity for me,” White told the paper, saying he did not seek out the new job but was contacted by a search firm. “I have absolutely enjoyed my time here. It far exceeded my expectations, and I can’t say enough about the teachers and the administrators in the district.”
