Bags Tournament is coming to Crossroads Fest

Looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon in the park? The popular Shorewood Crossroads Festival Bags Tournament is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 in the entertainment tent at the Four Seasons Park.  Registration begins at noon. The Tournament is sponsored by Jim Dellany Allstate Insurance and the Village of Shorewood's Parks and Recreation Department.

This is a tournament designed for amateur participation.  Professional and Pro-Am Teams will not be allowed to compete.  The tournament will be limited to the first 32 teams to register.

Teams will be comprised of two people and will fall into each of the separate categories.  The tournament is a double elimination bracket, with all teams being guaranteed two matches.  Each match will consist of best out of three in head to head competition.

In the case of low participant numbers, at the discretion of tournament sponsors, categories will be placed together in order to accommodate registrants.

The categories are Men’s, age 18 and up; and Co-ed, age 18 years and up (must have at least one woman on the team).  Cash prizes will be awarded.

The tournament is sponsored by Jim Delaney Allstate Insurance Agency and the Village of Shorewood Parks and Recreation.

Registration forms are available on line at www.crossroadsfest.com.   The tournament is held in conjunction with the annual Shorewood Crossroads Festival Aug. 2-4.

The fest is hosted by the Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Heartland Bank and Trust Company.
