Chicago Bears Tickets Among Priciest in the NFL

How much are you willing to pay to see a Bears game?

At $282 apiece, tickets for Chicago Bears games are the second most expensive in the NFL, according to a SeatGeek analysis of 2013 resale prices.

The most expensive ticket honor goes to the New York Giants, where home game tickets sell for $292, on average.  The Green Bay Packers rank fourth, with resold tickets averaging $245. The average ticket price for a Packers game has increased by 10 percent in the last two years, reports 24/7 Wall St.

The secondary ticket market takes place on various websites, including SeatGeek, StubHub, eBay and TicketNetwork, according to 24/7 Wall St. Perennial playoff contenders, recent success and cost of living are major factors in the resale pricing of tickets.

Says Wall St. 24/7 about the cost of Bears tickets:

Two of the 10 most expensive games scheduled this year for attendees include games of the Bears against Dallas and New York this fall. The average secondary-market ticket price for both games — to be played at the Bears’ home stadium Soldier Field — is more than $300. The stadium, which underwent extensive renovations in 2003, seats more than 60,000 people and regularly sells out.
