UPDATE: Oswego Man Dies in Route 52 Accident

Update: 12:30 p.m.

A 53-year-old Oswego man died early Monday morning after colliding with a semi truck in Kendall County.

The accident occurred at 7:54 a.m. at the intersection of Grove Road and Route 52. The Lisbon Seward Fire Department responded to the accident and called Minooka and Troy fire departments for assistance with the extrication accident. 

According to state police, the man was driving southbound on Grove and went through a stop sign onto Route 52, where he collided with a semi truck headed westbound. 

Those were the only two vehicles involved in the accident, state police said. The roadway is now cleared.

The Minooka fire dispatch is reporting an extrication accident near Route 52 and Grove Road this morning. 

According to the dispatch, a car and truck were in an accident shortly after 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28. The Lisbon Seward Fire Department requested assistance from Minooka fire.
