Troy: First Day of School, Then Dress Code Talk at School Board Meeting
Three things to put on your calendar for the week ahead.
1. First Day of School: The first day of student attendance in Troy School District 30C is Wednesday, Aug. 21.
2. School Board Meeting: The Troy School Board meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at the district office, 5800 W. Theodore St.., Plainfield. Parents once again are planning to raise questions about the district's new dress code.
3. New Release Movie: A free screening of Epic, a film from the creators of Ice Age," will be at 6 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 22) at the Shorewood-Troy Library. Free refreshments will be served. The movie is rated PG.
