It's a Wonderful Life: Live in Chicago
The American Blues Theater presents its annual performance of the holiday favorite. "It's a Wonderful Life" is performed as a 1940s-style radio show, complete with commercials, holiday carols, telegrams from the audience and post-show milk and cookies for everyone. Times vary, with a performance Friday and Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m., and a Sunday matinee at 2:30 p.m. More information is available here

The Second City's Dysfunctional Holiday Show
Whether you love the holidays or dread them, this show has something for you. The show features original sketches and songs. Saturday's show starts at 4 p.m. and is $16. (Warning though — this show is rated R, so make sure to find a babysitter if you have young children.) Tickets are available here.

Joffrey Ballet Presents the Nutcracker
Joffrey Ballet's Nutcracker performance has been ranked the number one in America, so see it before its too late to catch this holiday favorite this season. Prices for this weekend's tickets vary, and start at $41.98.
