Breaking: Woman Robbed, Burglarized at Home; County Seeking Help Finding Suspect »
Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Judge Edward Burmila ended up with the Drew Peterson case after it returned from the appellate court in May. Burmila replaced Judge Stephen White, who retired while the case was on appeal. A Chicago native, Burmila was the Will County State's Attorney from 1988 to 1992. He was defeated by current Will County State's Attorney James Glasgow, who is the lead prosecutor in the Peterson case.

This judge is a big wuss and a coward. He stands up for murderers and mocks the memory of the victims by continuously ruling in favor of killer Drew Peterson. Someone ought to take Burmila and Peterson to the old woodshed for a little street justice.

I did not attend any of the trial of Drew Peterson, and cannot comment directtly on that. However, over a period of several years, I sat through many days in Judge Burmila's courtroom. I was impressed with the respect he showed to everyone. He was tough, but fair.

Burmila is a Glasgow crony. He was in this like everybody else to convict Drew. Just remember this Ed, Drew Peterson will be free from an appeal to the Supreme Court. The supreme court will not allow b.s. hearsay testimony. Any judge that allows hearsay has personal motives. Your motives are based on personal stature, on the basis of maintaining votes to keep a high paying job.
