State's Attorney James Glasgow has been Will County's top prosecutor since 1992—except for a four year gap in which he was defeated in the 2000 election but reclaimed the post in 2004. It was during his time out of office that Kathleen Savio was twice arrested on battery charges involving attacks on Drew and Stacy Peterson, and was found drowned in her dry bathtub. When Glasgow first was elected state's attorney, he defeated Edward Burmila, who would go on to become a judge and preside over the Drew Peterson murder trial.

Unlike the defense team ..Mr. Glasgow and his team have conducted themselves in a respected manner ...this a murder of a women....mother... that two children and family no longer have...the circus the defense team has put on ...is sad....

I agree. I hope that this will be a trend that starts slowing down the epidemic of violence toward women and children, which is reaching epidemic proportions. Bridgeview courthouse judges are desensitized to the horrors victims (women and children) are being subjected to by the assaultive, stalking, stealing crimes by these perps called Dad or Boyfriend. The perpetrators are getting sympathy from judges and the little classes these bullies are assigned to are very poor. Judge Murphy allowed a perp. to take his harassment to civil court. When are these "judges" going to start doing the right thing?
