A special deal is being offered at 7-Eleven, good on any size coffee all day on Wednesdays in January.
Here's one cure for the winter blahs, 7-Eleven stores all over the United States are offering a mid-week pick-me-up to their patrons every Wednesday in January. For the next three weeks, java drinkers can pick up any size cup of coffee for only $1. Brazilian Dark Roast is the retailer's newest best-selling and most full-bodied coffee, according to 7-Eleven. But, coffee lovers are welcome to create their own coffee creation. The deal is valid all day Wednesdays, Jan. 16, 23 and 30. The Shorewood location is at 101 Cottage St.

The Shorewood Patch is back at it in the real happiest place on earth.
The Shorewood Patch took a break a couple weeks ago and headed south to Disney World. It was very nice, but whoever decided that Disney World is the happiest place on earth is sadly mistaken. That honor goes to Shorewood, and anyone who has ever had the pleasure to set foot inside this fair village knows the score. And that score is Shorewood 1 — Magic Kingdom nothing. At any rate, we're back, and returned just in time for one fantastic week. In fact, it may have been the greatest week ever. A Shorewood man working in a Plainfield 7-Eleven was arrested for allegedly selling alcohol to a minor during an Illinois State Police check of more than 20 businesses in the Plainfield-Shorewood-Crest Hill area.
An Shorewood man working at the 7-Eleven in Plainfield was charged with selling alcohol to a minor during an Illinois State Police check on more than 20 businesses in the Plainfield-Shorewood-Crest Hill area. Jitendra H. Mithapara, 38, was arrested in a Dec. 21 Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement survey conducted by Lockport-based Zone 3 officers. Also arrested was Crest Hill S.A. Liquors employee Nicholas J. Starkey, 29, of Joliet. Both were released on notices to appear. The state police conduct periodic surveys of businesses to determine if any are selling alcoholic beverages to people under the age of 21. The stores checked in Shorewood were Jewel-Osco Drug, Target, American Liquor and Tobacco and Armanetti's Liquor. The Plainfield …
