One-Car Crash Causes Delays on Interstate 80

The crash in the westbound lanes caused one lane to close for about 20 minutes

A one-car crash on Interstate 80, just east of the Houbolt Road, closed a westbound lane of traffic for about 20 minutes Monday morning, the Illinois State Police said. The accident occurred at about 8 a.m. when a driver swerved off the road whne the vehicle in front of him slowed down, Master Sgt. Martez Malone said. "(The driver) went too slow, veered to the left and struck a guardrail," Malone said. No one was injured in the crash. The car was towed from the scene.   Get news where you live. One Car Crash Results in DUI Charge for Driver

No one was injured in the crash that happened Sept. 29.

Lisa Jolin, 39, of Channahon, was arrested on charges of DUI and improper lane use after she crashed her car into a light pole on Route 6 at Fryer Street on Saturday night. Channahon Police Chief Jeff Wold said Jolin was headed west on Route 6 and hit a light pole. She was not injured in the crash. Get news where you live. Channahon Man Injured in One-Car Crash

A 59-year-old Channahon man was treated and released from an area hospital following an early-morning crash.

A 59-year-old Channahon resident was treated and released from Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center Wednesday morning, after the car he was driving rolled several times on Route 6. Channahon Police Lt. Mark Fischer said the crash occurred at 7:24 a.m. on Route 6, near Steven Rittof Sr. Drive. The driver apparently lost control of his Honda CRV. "He does not remember how he lost control of his vehicle because he was so shaken up," Fischer said. The vehicle was westbound on Route 6. It veered left, crashed into a fire hydrant on the south side of Route 6 and rolled several times. The fire hydrant was sheered off at the surface. One lane of Route 6 was closed while the accident was cleared.
