Also, I'm going to be in a charity dunk tank on Saturday.
It was very exciting to find out that they weren't just making a movie out of my book Fatal Vows: The Tragic Wives of Sergeant Drew Peterson, which is still available for purchase in hardcover, but then it came out that Rob Lowe was cast in the starring role. That was pretty unbelievable. A big star like Rob Lowe in the movie they were making out of my book. Who would have thought? And then I found out that I was going to be a character in the film. That's right — there's going to be a character named "Joe Hosey" in the movie. I was thrilled when I heard that was actually going to happen. So thrilled, in fact, that I sent a Facebook friend request out to the guy who is going to be playing Joe Hosey in the movie. His name is Charlie Koznick…

It was all about showbiz this week.
Shorewood is famous for a lot of things. It's the home not just to a Portillo's (ha ha Plainfield), but to also a Chili's and a Target. And now Shorewoodland is the movie-making capital of the Midwest. That's right, it is, now that Shorewood Patch Editor Joe Hosey is being portrayed in a movie by world-renown actor Charlie Koznick. You may remember Koznick from such television programs as Medium, Grey's Anatomy, or The Ghost Whisperer, or maybe you don't. A guy named Charlie Koznick, and it's not going to take him nine hours worth of makeup to pull it off.
Apparently in this movie they're making based on my book, there's going to be a character named Joe Hosey. I just found this out last night and, when I heard, my head immediately began swelling. I was very proud of myself, and with good reason. I mean, I never thought somebody would be playing me in a movie. But then I started wondering about how this guy Charlie Koznick was going to be playing me. After all, it's not like we ever met. But who cares? It's probably not going to be too big a part anyway, at least if the cast listing on IMDB is anything to go by. That has Joe Hosey billed as the 13th character, right after "Scott" and just before "Officer Jim," whoever they are. Scott, by the way, is going to be played by an actor named …
