Bugged By Bills? Send an SOS to CUB

The Citizens Utility Board will show you how to save money on your bills during a seminar at the Shorewood-Troy Library next week.

If you ever get the feeling your phone, electric or gas bills are higher than they're supposed to be, or that those faceless behemoths are ripping you off somehow, you better get to the library on Monday. A representative from the Citizens Utility Board will be at the Shorewood-Troy Library from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to  share secrets on understanding your bills and how to cut down spending on services. "It's going to be a general speaking engagement," said Jim Chilsen, the director of commnications for CUB, a nonprofit utility watchdog group created by the state legislature to fight for the rights of utility customers.
