Former Joliet Grade School Principal Gets Probation For Friend Forgery

The former principal of Laraway Elementary School committed forgery to get her convict friend a job.

The former principal of Laraway Elementary School got probation for forging a criminal history so a friend with a record could get a job at her school. Tashona Marshall, 32, of Chicago also took a 180 day sentence that was put off until the completion of her two-year probation. If she abides by the terms of her probation, Marshall likely won't have to do the time. Marshall was hit with a $15,000 fine as well. Marshall was arrested in April after the superintendent at her school district discovered she forged the criminal history of a friend looking for a job. The friend, Lashone White, 37, was hired on to the district's "food and nutrition team" in late 2011, according to a district newsletter. But White had been convicted of second degree…

Laraway is a pit. A public school that is forced to wear uniforms because of gang problems, bribes their students with "hot chips" (Flaming Hot Cheetos) for decent behavior, and takes field trips every quarter to those kids who can act human enough to sit in a classroom. It doesn't surprise me that they hired this woman as a principal since they know parents won't even know what's going on that …   more ›

Rockdale Man Jailed Same Day as DOC Fugitive Capture Was Also Arrested in Shorewood

A Rockdale man was apparently arrested twice in the same day — including one time in Shorewood, on the same day an escaped convict was captured.

A Rockdale man jailed the same day an escaped convict was captured in that small town was arrested shortly before on that very same date in Shorewood, according to the Will County Sheriff's Department. Adam Kruspe, 26, of 220 S. Midland Ave. was charged with driving on a suspended license while motoring on Mound Road near the Interstate 55 frontage road in Shorewood on Friday. Sheriff's deputies nabbed Kruspe on the traffic charge. Earlier that day, Kruspe was arrested by the Rockdale police and booked into the Will County jail on a couple counts of domestic battery. The unemployed Kruspe remains in custody at the county jail, where he is being held in lieu of $1,000 bond, according to sheriff's department records. Kruspe wasn't the only …

Waste Managed: Escaped Con Caught Hiding at Rockdale Waste Management — Update!

A day-long manhunt ended in the capture of a prisoner who made a daring escape from a Department of Corrections van.

The police captured an escaped convict who made a daring leap from a Department of Corrections van and then hid out on top of a truck for a ride to Waste Management in Rockdale. Cesar Sanchez, 37, was caught at the Waste Management facility shortly after 8 p.m., a source said. The source also said Sanchez was hiding in a portable toilet. The Department of Corrections later confirmed that Sanchez was indeed caught inside a portable toilet by the Waste Management facility. The manacled Sanchez, who was incarcerated at Stateville Correctional Center for nearly the past year on a parole violation, was heading back to Stateville from the Bridgeview courthouse when he leaped out the side door of a moving Department of Corrections van and fled on…

@Nick, I agree with you. This entire argument was out of hand. Let's grow up people. If the general public found out who you really are, I'm sure you would have a hard time defending your childish behavior to someone you know. As for the police being overpaid....I sure as heck would not do their job for 80K. They work hard at a high risk job. I've seen police to many helpful things within this …   more ›
