The Shorewood-Troy Public Library has partnered with the Illinois Gators Football Team to collect donations of food and winter coats this year. Food donations will be distributed to the Morning Star Mission in Joliet. Coats will be distributed to Will County homeless. Drop off donations at the library through Friday, Dec. 21.

We have a new most popular Redbox movie rental in Shorewood and that movie is Drive. Shorewood Patch movie critic Dave Wilson reviewed Drive and was unimpressed by both the film and the performance of its star, Ryan Gosling. Here's what Dave had to say: "Gosling’s flat performance left me not rooting for him.
