Start small, think big. That's the plan for controling the crowd at the inaugural Electric Daisy Carnival, which will run through Memorial Day weekend (May 24-26) at Chicagoland Speedway, according to a Sun-Times News Group report. Crowds will be limited to 30,000 on each day of three-day electronic dance and music festival, Joliet Police Chief Mike Trafton said in the report. The festival is being promoted by Insomniac and could become a fixture at the speedway, Trafton said. "I think they want to move slowly in the first year," he said in the Sun-Times News Group report.

The casual Instagram shot was posted on victim Terrance Rankins' profile page two days before he was killed.
An Instagram photo taken by Terrance Rankins just two days before his death features two of the suspects who allegedly strangled him and another man on Jan. 10. A friend of Rankins' obtained the photo and supplied it to CBS 2-TV (Channel 2), which aired a story on it Tuesday night. There is no context for what is happening in the photo. Massaro and Landerman are facing each other, and Landerman has a mirror in his lap and a blue mark on his cheek. The four suspects continued to "party" after the two murders were committed, and it's believed the intent was to dismember the victims, Chief Mike Trafton said.
JOLIET, IL -- Robbery was the motive in the deaths of two men, strangled by four friends who lured them to a home Thursday, killed them and then partied and played videogames after, local police chief Mike Trafton said. There is evidence the suspects intended to dismember their victims, Trafton said. He described the 1121 N. Hickory St. crime scene as gruesome, particularly in light of the suspects' total "disregard for human beings." DON'T MISS THE LATEST JOLIET NEWS.
