Phillip Maro, a substitute director for the band, has posted hundreds of comments and photos online about his proclivity for women's shoes, many of which have been documented by one parent.
Joliet West High School acting band director Phillip Maro's online photos and comments about his attraction to women's footwear, especially shoes worn by cheerleaders, has prompted one mother to question whether he should be working with students. Maro, 24, who has been filling in for on-leave band director Kevin Carroll, has posted messages and pictures under at least a dozen psuedonyms, including sexycheerleaders12, shoeslover88 and cheerlover56. In one profile at www.findoms.com, Maro identified himself by name and photo, saying he has a "huge foot/sneaker fetish" and listing his fetishes as "sneakers, Ugg boots and feet." Depending on the site, he alternately makes reference to his age, hometown and/or affiliation with Eastern and …

Joliet Township High School District 204 Officials have a goal in mind. By the school year 2014-2015, all the students at the two campuses will have laptops. Community members are invited to tell their stories as a way of encouraging students to embrace seven character attributes.
As any student will tell you, high school can be hard, and made harder still when bullying becomes an issue. In these days of cell phones, Facebook pages and laptop computers, bullying can transcend name-calling and after-school fights that most parents remember. Joliet Township High School District 204 has made a concerted effort to counter student-on-student attacks by teaching seven character attributes: respect, integrity, confidence, responsibility, compassion, perseverance and tolerance. "This program is unique to Joliet Township High School," said Kristine Schlismann, JTHS community development director. "It's really what our group of stakeholders determined to be our core values." Joliet West High School and Joliet Central High …
